All requests for GP appointments and advice are required to be submitted online using eConsult.

Online medical requests are available from 08:00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Where possible, please try and submit your request as early as possible in the day.

Please note: Practice Nurse appointments, blood tests and annual reviews will continue to be booked through reception.

Your alternative practice location between 18:00 and 18:30 is Ravenscar Surgery. This is located at Redcar Primary Care Hospital, West Dyke Road, Redcar, Cleveland. TS10 4NW.

We would like to inform our patients of a change to our service provision during the final 30 minutes of our core operating hours.

To ensure that patients continue to have access to appropriate care during this time, the practice will offer alternative arrangements for care between 18:00 and 18:30.

Out of Hours and Emergencies

 

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. Its fast free and easy to use. Call 111 and speak to a trained advisor, supported by healthcare professionals. By asking a series of questions they can assess your symptoms and direct you to the best medical care.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In case of a life threatening emergency please dial 999.

Outside of normal practice hours (evenings, weekends and bank holidays), emergency cover is provided by a partnership of Hartlepool and Stockton Health (H&SH) and North East Ambulance Service. This out of hours service provides medical care for patients that do not need Emergency Department Care (A&E).

  • This service is for problems that cannot wait until the practice next opens.
  • You may be asked to attend an Urgent Treatment Centre within Tees Valley if necessary.
  • Advice may also be given if a face to face appointment if not required.
  • If you are unwell and need to use the service we advise that you book an appointment first by calling NHS 111 or visiting www.111.nhs.uk as this will speed up your treatment.

The local Urgent Treatment Centre at NHS Redcar Primary Care Hospital, West Dyke Road, Redcar TS10 4NW,  and offers assessment and treatment for minor injuries / health conditions that are not life threatening.

The UTC is open 8am to midnight 365 days a year and you may still walk into the centre without an appointment.

You and Your General Practice (YYGP) describes what practices and patients can expect of each other and has been developed to help patients get the best from their GP team. Zero tolerance

The NHS operate a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence and abuse and the Practice has the right to remove violent or aggressive patients from the list with immediate effect in order to safeguard our Practice staff, patients and other persons. Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse.
